My Favorite Business Meeting Scene

I’ve been in so many meetings in my career, and most of them are forgettable. I thoroughly enjoy this scene from the movie Margin Call, a movie about the financial crisis of 2008, that dramatically showcases what I think would be an incredible meeting to be a part of. My favorite lines from the scene is the answer to the question “What is the nature of the problem?”. Giving a clear answer for a complex situation is hard to do under pressure.

Simple, clear answers win.

Cloudy Adventures

This year with all of the economic turmoil, I’ve been thinking, reading, and exploring more any previous year. I’ve found that working remotely, works, and I’ve saved countless hours in the car with what was a 4-hour-a-day commute.

I’ve attempted to harness that recovered that time to ‘Carpe diem‘ and to get a jump on several projects that wouldn’t have been possible previously. Moreover, I’ve been finding in light of the current realities that we AL, rich or poor, smart or ignorant, have the same exact 24 hours a day. So ultimately it’s up to us, each individually, to make use the time we are lucky enough to enjoy.

To that end, in the area of cloud computing I’ve been digging into Azure and playing around with the Power Platform.

More to come.
